The Arabic Left Arrowhead Below (U+08F9) is a specialized nonspacing mark used in extended Arabic script systems. As a combining diacritic, it is rendered underneath a base character. Added in Unicode 6.1 (2012), it serves critical linguistic functions in localized orthographies, particularly in the Arabic Extended-A block.
