The Gurmukhi Vowel Sign Ii (ੀ) is a dependent vowel used in the Punjabi language to denote the long ‘i’ sound (as in “seed”). Classified as a Spacing Mark (Mc), it is visually placed to the right of the base consonant in the Gurmukhi script.

⚠️ Note: Do not confuse with ਿ (U+0A3F), the Gurmukhi Vowel Sign I, which represents the short ‘i’ and appears on the left.
