The Thaana Letter Raa (ރ) is a primary alphabetic element of the Dhivehi writing system. Technically, it is classified as an “Other Letter” (Lo) and belongs to the Arabic Letter (AL) bidirectional class, meaning it follows a Right-to-Left rendering logic. Added in Unicode 3.0, it is a staple of Maldivian digital typography.
