The Thaana Eebeefili (ީ) is a nonspacing mark in the Thaana script used for Dhivehi. Functionally, it is a combining vowel diacritic representing the long “EE” sound. It attaches above a base consonant, maintaining the right-to-left flow of the Maldivian writing system.
⚠️ Note: Do not confuse with ި (Ibifili, short I) or ީ rendering variants in stylized calligraphy.
