The Samaritan Vowel Sign Sukun (U+082C) is a specialized nonspacing mark used in the ancient Samaritan script. It indicates the absence of a vowel following a consonant. Technically, it is a combining mark that renders above the base character. It was introduced in Unicode 5.2 (2009) as part of the Samaritan block in the Basic Multilingual Plane.
