The Arabic Damma With Dot is a nonspacing combining mark used in extended Arabic scripts. It functions as a specialized vowel sign, added in Unicode 6.1. As a combining mark with a canonical combining class of 230 (Above), it must be attached to a base character for proper phonetic rendering.
⚠️ Note: Do not confuse with ُ (Standard Damma).
