The Arabic Small High Word Qif is a specialized nonspacing mark used in Arabic orthography to denote a “Qif” (stop) instruction in classical texts. As a Nonspacing Mark (Mn), it is rendered above a base character without advancing the cursor. It was added in Unicode 9.0 (2016) to the Arabic Extended-A block.
⚠️ Note: Do not confuse with ࣝ (U+08DD) or other high-positioned Arabic word marks.
