The New Tai Lue Vowel Sign Iy (ᧀ) is a primary vowel character in the New Tai Lue script, which was developed in the 1950s for the Tai Lue language (spoken in Xishuangbanna, China). This script is a simplification of the older “Lanna” script. In encoding terms, it is a non-combining letter-like vowel that follows the initial consonant in a syllable string.
