ℹ️ About
The Cyrillic Small Letter Psi (ѱ) is a historical character derived from the Greek letter Psi (ψ). In the early Cyrillic alphabet, it was used primarily in Greek loanwords to represent the sound /ps/, particularly in religious and academic texts. While it was phased out of most modern Slavic alphabets during language reforms (like Peter the Great’s reform in 1708), it remains essential for encoding Old Church Slavonic and historical manuscripts.
⚠️ Note: Do not confuse with the Greek letter ψ or the uppercase Cyrillic version Ѱ (U+0470).
