ℹ️ About
The Devanagari Letter Cha (छ) is a voiceless aspirated palatal affricate. In the Devanagari abugida, it is the second letter of the palatal group (varga). Technical implementation requires careful handling of the ‘shirorekha’ (top bar) in rendering engines. It is widely used in Hindi, Sanskrit, and Marathi for representing the ‘chh’ sound as in ‘Chhatrapati’.
⚠️ Note: Do not confuse with च (U+091A – Ca) which is the unaspirated version.
