ℹ️ About
The Latin Small Letter Tone Five (ƽ) is a specialized phonetic character used in the 1957 orthography of the Zhuang language to represent the high-rising tone (tone 5). It visually resembles a lowercase ‘s’ or a modified ‘5’ but functions as a full letter within the script. In the 1982 revised orthography, it was replaced by the letter ‘q’.
⚠️ Note: Do not confuse with s (Small Letter S) or the number 5.
