The Cyrillic Capital Letter Dzhe (Џ) represents the voiced postalveolar affricate /dʒ/, similar to the ‘j’ in “jump.” It is a fundamental character in Serbian and Macedonian orthography. Originating from the 15th-century Romanian Cyrillic alphabet, it was later adopted into Serbian by Vuk Karadžić.
