The Cyrillic Small Letter Sha (ш) represents the voiceless retroflex sibilant /ʂ/ or postalveolar /ʃ/. It is a cornerstone of the Cyrillic script, used in Russian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, and many other Slavic languages. Originating from the Hebrew letter Shin (ש), it is structurally composed of three vertical stems connected by a horizontal base.
