Armenian Small Letter Vew (վ) is a lowercase character representing the labiodental fricative sound /v/ in the Armenian language. Added in Unicode 1.1, it is part of the Basic Multilingual Plane and is essential for modern Armenian orthography. In historical manuscripts and specific fonts, it may be part of the common “Vew Now” ligature (ﬖ).
