The Hebrew Accent Geresh (U+059C) is a disjunctive cantillation mark (ta’am) used in the Hebrew Bible. It is a Nonspacing Mark that appears above the consonant. In liturgical chanting, it represents a minor pause. Note that while it looks similar to the punctuation mark Geresh, this codepoint is specifically for cantillation.

⚠️ Note: Do not confuse with ׳ (U+05F3 Hebrew Punctuation Geresh) or ֝ (U+059D Gershayim).
