The Syriac Letter Malayalam Ja (U+0861) is part of the Garshuni (Suriyani) Malayalam script, used to transcribe the Malayalam language into Syriac characters. It represents the voiced palatal affricate “ja” sound. Added in Unicode 10.0, it follows Right-to-Left (RTL) directionality.
⚠️ Note: Do not confuse with ࡠ (Malayalam Ca) or other Syriac variants.
