ℹ️ About
The Devanagari Sign Candrabindu (ँ) is a combining nonspacing mark used in Indic scripts to denote the nasalization of a vowel. Architecturally, it is a “moon-dot” diacritic. Introduced in Unicode 1.1, it is essential for languages like Hindi, Sanskrit, and Marathi to distinguish between oral and nasal vowel sounds.
⚠️ Note: Do not confuse with ं (U+0902 Anusvara), which indicates a stronger nasal consonant sound.
