ℹ️ About
The Devanagari Letter Ii (ई) is an independent vowel representing the long ‘ee’ sound (/iː/). It is a fundamental component of the Devanagari script used in Hindi, Sanskrit, Marathi, and Nepali. Unlike its dependent vowel sign form (Matra), this independent form is used when the vowel starts a word or follows another vowel.
⚠️ Note: Do not confuse with इ (Short I) or the dependent vowel sign ी (Ii Matra).
