The Gurmukhi Vowel Sign Aa (U+0A3E) is a spacing mark (Mc) in the Gurmukhi script used for the Punjabi language. Unlike non-spacing marks, this character occupies its own horizontal space while modifying the phonetic sound of the preceding consonant to an “aa” sound.

⚠️ Note: Do not confuse with U+0A06 (Gurmukhi Letter Aa), which is the independent vowel form used at the start of words.
