ℹ️ About
The Application Program Command (APC) is a non-graphic C1 control character used in telecommunications and data processing to initiate a command string intended for the receiving application. While it often renders as a “Ÿ” in certain legacy encodings (like Windows-1252), in Unicode it is strictly a Control (Cc) character used for protocol signaling.
⚠️ Note: Do not confuse with Ÿ (U+0178 Latin Capital Letter Y with Diaeresis) which is a visual homoglyph.
