ℹ️ About
The Middle Dot (·), also known as an interpunct, is a versatile punctuation mark used in linguistics to separate syllables or words, and in mathematics as a symbol for scalar multiplication (the dot product). Historically appearing in Latin and Greek scripts, it is now standard in Catalan (the “punt volat”) and used in developer environments to represent invisible space characters. It is located in the Latin-1 Supplement block.
⚠️ Note: Do not confuse with • (Bullet, U+2022) or . (Full Stop, U+002E).
