The Latin Small Letter C with Circumflex (ĉ) is primarily used in the Esperanto alphabet to represent the voiceless postalveolar affricate /tʃ/, similar to the “ch” in “church”. It is a composite character consisting of the lowercase ‘c’ (U+0063) and the combining circumflex accent (U+0302). It has been part of the Unicode standard since version 1.1.
