ℹ️ About
The Latin Capital Letter G With Cedilla (Ģ) is a specialized glyph used primarily in Latvian orthography to denote the palatalized voiced velar plosive /ɟ/. Interestingly, while called a “cedilla,” it is typographically rendered as an inverted comma above the lowercase ‘g’ (ģ), but remains a standard cedilla attached to the base of this uppercase ‘Ģ’.
⚠️ Note: Do not confuse with Ğ (G-Breve) or Ĝ (G-Circumflex).
