ℹ️ About
The Latin Small Letter Kra (ĸ) is a unique character formerly used in the Greenlandic language (Kalaallisut) to represent the voiceless uvular plosive. In 1973, Greenlandic orthography was reformed, and the letter ĸ was replaced by the letter ‘q’. However, it remains vital for historical documentation and is still used in the Inuktitut dialect of Nunatsiavut.
⚠️ Note: Do not confuse with the lowercase k (Latin Small Letter K) or the Greek κ (Kappa).
