ℹ️ About

The Latin Small Letter Glottal Stop (ɂ) is the lowercase variant of the glottal stop letter used in various orthographies, notably in Canadian indigenous languages such as Slavey, Tłı̨chǫ, and Chipewyan. It represents a brief closure of the vocal cords. Unlike the IPA symbol for the glottal stop (ʔ), this character has a case-pairing relationship with U+0241 (Ɂ).

⚠️ Note: Do not confuse with ʔ (U+0294) or 7 (the numeral).
