ℹ️ About

The Greek Letter Yot (ϳ) is a historical lowercase character used to represent the palatal semivowel /j/ in certain reconstructions of the Greek language and in Arvanitika. While visually similar to a Latin ‘j’, it is distinct within the Greek and Coptic block. It was officially added to Unicode in 1993 for precise linguistic and philological documentation.

⚠️ Note: Do not confuse with j (Latin Small Letter J) or Ϳ (Greek Capital Letter Yot, U+037F).
