ℹ️ About

The Greek Lunate Sigma (ϲ) is a historical variant of the lowercase letter sigma. Unlike the standard “ς” or “σ”, the lunate sigma consists of a single curved stroke, resembling a crescent moon. It was widely used in medieval Greek manuscripts and remains critical for epigraphic and classical studies. Technically, it is encoded as a lowercase letter in the Greek and Coptic block.

⚠️ Note: Do not confuse with c (Latin Lowercase C) or Ϲ (Uppercase Lunate Sigma U+03F9).
