The Devanagari Letter Kha (ख) is the second consonant of the Devanagari abugida. It represents the voiceless aspirated velar plosive /kʰ/. Technically classified as an “Other Letter” (Lo), it was officially integrated into Unicode 1.1 in 1993. It is a fundamental character in Hindi, Marathi, Nepali, and Sanskrit typography.
⚠️ Note: Do not confuse with ख़ (U+0959), which includes a nukta to represent the voiceless velar fricative /x/.
