ℹ️ About

The Devanagari Letter Nya (ञ) is the palatal nasal consonant [ɲ] in the Devanagari script. While rarely used as a standalone character in modern conversational Hindi (where it is often replaced by the anusvara), it is vital for writing Sanskrit and appears in crucial conjuncts like “ज्ञ” (jñ). It belongs to the palatal group of consonants alongside ca, cha, ja, and jha.

⚠️ Note: Do not confuse with (U+091D – Jha) or (U+0928 – Na).
