The Buginese Letter Ra (ᨑ) is a consonant character used in the Lontara script for languages such as Buginese, Makassarese, and Mandar of South Sulawesi. Representing the alveolar trill /r/, it is a fundamental part of the Brahmic-derived Buginese block. It follows a left-to-right bidirectional class and has remained a stable part of Unicode since version 4.1.
⚠️ Note: Do not confuse with ᨐ (Buginese Letter Ya) which features an additional internal stroke.
