ℹ️ About

The Substitute (SUB) character is a non-printing control character used primarily in telecommunications and data processing. It traditionally functions as a placeholder for characters that are unreadable, invalid, or corrupted during transmission. In CP/M and some MS-DOS systems, it was also used to mark the End of File (EOF).

⚠️ Note: Do not confuse with (Replacement Character) used in modern UTF-8 encoding errors.
