ℹ️ About
The Latin Small Letter R With Cedilla (ŗ) is a lowercase character representing a palatalized alveolar trill. In historical Latvian orthography, it was used to signify a specific palatalized sound, though modern Latvian typically uses the standard “r” unless referring to archaic texts. It is also found in Livonian. Technically, it is a canonical decomposition of U+0072 (r) and U+0327 (Combining Cedilla).
⚠️ Note: Do not confuse with ṛ (U+1E5B, Dot Below) or ř (U+0159, Caron).
