ℹ️ About

The Single Shift Three (SS3) is a C1 control code (U+008F) primarily used in character set switching protocols such as ISO/IEC 2022. It functions as a “single shift” mechanism, temporarily invoking a single character from an alternate character set (typically the G3 set) before reverting to the previous state. In modern computing, it is non-printing and typically ignored unless processed by terminal emulators or protocol handlers.

⚠️ Note: Do not confuse with (legacy representation), as modern browsers will render this as a generic control character box or nothing at all.
