ℹ️ About

The Latin Small Letter G With Circumflex (ĝ) is an essential component of the Esperanto orthography, representing the voiced postalveolar affricate /d͡ʒ/ (like the ‘j’ in “jam”). In Unicode, it is a precomposed character, but it can also be represented via decomposition as a standard ‘g’ (U+0067) followed by a combining circumflex accent (U+0302).

⚠️ Note: Do not confuse with ğ (g-breve) or ġ (g-dot).
